Important: Always use a heat protectant before applying heat to alternative hair. Jon Renau Heat Protectant should be applied to dry human hair and heat-friendly fiber before styling.
Make sure the fiber is completely dry before styling. Secure your wig or topper to a block head.
For heat-friendly synthetic fiber, use a setting of 285°F (140°C) or lower. Do not go above 285°F.
For alternative human hair, use up to 355°F (180°C) maximum. Do not exceed 355°F.
Turn the fan on so the cooling feature is active while you style.
Work in small sections, about 1 inch wide.
Use the curved edges to create curls or glide the iron through for a straighter finish. The infrared heat helps create a smooth, polished style, while the cooling fan helps set the shape right away.
Let each section cool completely before brushing or handling it.
