What is my why

You might wonder why I love the world of alternative hair.

Yes, I experienced total hair loss during my cancer journey in 2012 & 2013. I discovered wigs during that time for obvious reasons!

Looking for a wig shop around me where I could feel comfortable and secure and maybe find hope was not easy to find. There are many online stores and that is wonderful, I have my own! But I wanted to be a part of something that women could walk into and immediately feel like they entered my living room. Being that I run the shop with my family certainly helps with the “welcome to the family” vibe! There are several wig shops in my area for sure. However, I wanted our shop to stand apart and be a place of refuge for women who have been newly diagnosed with any type of hair loss, medical or otherwise. I wanted to be the shop in the area that is known for their compassion and warm welcoming environment. I wanted to be the place that our local hospitals referred their patients to because we have a reputation for the care that we provide. I wanted to be known as the place where “those ladies get it; they’ve been through it”.

I believe that all of that has come to pass. God has been very good to us here and being able to pay it forward in this way is like nothing I could have imagined.

Losing your hair for diagnosed medical reason or not knowing why your hair is falling out can take a toll and will throw you into a whole gamut of emotions. We are here to guide you and help you during such a traumatic time. We are here to be your new hair salon. Online or in person!

Thank you and God Bless You! — Jenn
